Biographical History

Grenville Clark was born in New York City in 1882 and was educated at Pomfret, Harvard College, and Harvard Law School. In 1909 he founded a law practice in New York. Clark worked for civil rights and international peace throughout his life. He helped develop military training camps during World War I, actively supported the New Deal, and worked with U.S. Secretary of War Henry Stimson during World War II. Clark died in 1967.
