Bridging the Years, Glens Falls, New York, 1763-1978 was published in 1978 by the Glens Falls Historical Association, in cooperation with Crandall Public Library. The book is an illustrated history of Glens Falls from its settlement in 1763 until the time of the book's publication. The Publications Committee of the Glens Falls Historical Association was in charge of organizing the research and preparing the manuscript for publication. Members of the Committee were Robert N. King (Chairman), John D. Austin, Susan E. Buffington, Arthur S. Fisher, Florence M. King, Elizabeth S. McAndrew, and Pauline S. Smith.
Bridging the Years was published as part of the Glens Falls observance of the Bicentennial of American independence. Many of the publications, manuscripts, and photographs used for research for this book were from the collections of the Glens Falls Historical Association and Crandall Public Library. The Glens Falls Historical Association is now called the Glens Falls-Queensbury Historical Association and is the governing body of the Chapman Historical Museum in Glens Falls.
