Biographical History

Leila J. Rupp was an associate professor of history and Verta A. Taylor an associate professor of sociology at Ohio State University. In 1987 they published Survival in the Doldrums: The American Women's Rights Movement, 1945 to the 1960s, a study of feminism in the 1950s, in particular the National Woman's Party and its efforts to pass the Equal Rights Amendment.
