Biographical History
The press was founded in 1953 by Alan Anderson in Edinburgh, Scotland, to print fine editions of less well-known works of late nineteeth and early twentieth century authors. After publishing 144 books under the Tragara imprint as well as numerous privately-commissioned works, the press closed in 1991.
