The Atlanta Urban League, an affiliate of the National Urban League, was established in 1920. It is a private, non-profit, interracial community service organization which functions as a vehicle for addressing the social and economic problems of the black community in Atlanta, Georgia. Grace Towns Hamilton (1907- ) served as Executive Director of the Atlanta Urban League from 1943-1960.
