Biographical History

White (Harvard, M.D. 1880) was visiting physician at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Boston, Mass. and was one of the founders of the New England Baptist Hospital. He was a member of the Roxbury Society for Medical Improvement, the Massachusetts Medical Society and the Harvard Medical Alumni Association. He taught theory and practice of medicine for a number of years at Tufts Medical School. Following graduation from Harvard Medical School he spent two years of study in Vienna, London, Edinburgh, and New York. Beginning in 1882 he maintained a private practice in Roxbury, Mass. One of his sons was Dr. Paul Dudley White.
