These theses and dissertations have been presented to the Archives Department of the University of Wales over an extensive period of years. W. Garmon Jones (1884-1937), historian, was the Librarian of Liverpool University between 1928 and 1937.

Emyr Gwynne Jones was the Librarian of the University of Wales Bangor from 1946 until his death in 1972.

Rev. Robert David Rowland (Anthropos), (?1853-1944) of Caernarfon was a minister, a journalist and a poet.

Ellis Jones Ellis-Griffith was a barrister and Member of Parliament for Anglesey, 1895-1918.

Tom Ellis (1859-1899) was the Liberal Member for Merioneth.

Owen Williamson, born 1840, was the author of Hanes Niwbwrch (1895).

Musical manuscripts, received from various sources, in particular collectors of manuscripts. They have been brought together and described as one artificial collection by the Archivist of the University of Wales Bangor. Bob Owen, Croesor and W. J. Parry of Bethesda are amongst the donors whilst other items have been taken from the papers of Ellis Ylltyr Williams, Gabriel Hughes and Owen Williamson and others.
