Biographical History
Nancibel Riffe was born on April 9, 1925 in Pulaksi County, Kentucky. She lived Danville, Kentucky with her parents Clarabelle and Julian Riffe. She attended Danville High School the first few years of high school. For her senior year, starting in the fall of 1942 until spring 1943, she attended Kemper Hall in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She attended college at William Woods College located in Fulton, Missouri from fall 1943 until spring 1945. Her major was merchandising. She was elected freshman class president in 1944. In the fall of 1945, she continued her studies at Stanford University. Nancibel finished her college education at the end of 1948 and moved back to Danville, Kentucky to work in the family antique business call the Covered Wagon. She married Don Williams of California in the spring or summer of 1949. Eventually the couple divorced. Nancibel's second husband was Scott Rogers. She lived the remaining years of her life in Danville, Kentucky. Nancibel died on February 17, 2004. During the years 1939 through 1949, Nancibel corresponed with many friends, family members, boyfriends and servicemen.
