Biographical History
James Mirams represented Collingwood in the Victorian Parliament from Feb. 1876 to Feb. 1886 and was one of the founders of the Liberal Party. In 1886, under the auspices of the new National Liberal League, Mirams and F.H. Bromley, President of the Trades Hall Council, ran on the same ticket for Collingwood. They were defeated. Mirams represented Williamstown from Nov. 1887 to March 1889.
