Biographical History

The Michigan Stream Control Commission was created by the provisions on Public Act 245 of 1929. The Commission was specifically charged with the control of the pollution of lakes, rivers, streams, and all waters of the state, and the Great Lakes. Public Act 117 of 1949 created the Water Resources Commission to replace the Stream Control Commission.
