Anne Ellis (1875-1938) wrote two autobiographical accounts of her life as a pioneer in the Colorado mining camps of the 19th Century: " The Life of an Ordinary Woman," and " Plain Anne Ellis ." Her third book, " Sunshine Preferred," chronicles her sanatorium experiences while fighting asthma in the 1920's.
