Professor of geology at Hopkins, founder of the Maryland State Weather Service and the Maryland Geological Survey.
Clark was born in Brattleboro, VT in 1860, and married Ellen C. Strong of Boston in 1892. He taught at Hopkins from 1889 until his death in 1917.
