Founded in April 1976 by Kate Reid, Amelia Hall, Charmion King, Frances Hyland, Jane Mallet, Barry Morse, Barbara Chilcott, Donald Davis, Ron Hartmann, Gordon Pinsent and George Luscombe. Led by James Edmond and Alan Richardson with the help of Toronto's most experienced actors and directors. Although the response to its adventurous repertoire and high standards was positive, there were just six productions. Chronic financial problems crippled the company closing its doors on April 1978.
