Sergei Denham (1896-1970) was a Russian-born banker and director of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo. Leonide Massine (1896-1979) was Russian dancer and choreographer and artistic director of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo.
The Ballet Russe de Monte-Carlo was a company that existed between 1938 and 1962 under the directorship of Sergei Denham and the auspices of World Art Inc. It came into being as a result of dissention between the two owners of the former Diaghilev's Ballets Russes, René Blum and Colonel de Basil.
