Biographical History

Hezekiah Hanson, born in Mercersburg, Pennsylvania, was a Presbyterian minister at the Duncannon (formerly Petersburg) Presbyterian Church, Perry County, Pennsylvania, 1849-1856. From 1851 through 1856 he also administered the Millerstown Presbyterian Church, before moving to Oquawka, Illinois, in 1857, where he remained for some twenty-five years. Benjamin Roney and Sarah Ann Boden married in 1832, at Perry County, Pennsylvania. Their daughter Elizabeth married Hezekiah Hanson in 1852.
