Biographical History

Hugh Laracy lectures in the History Department of the University of Auckland. He has written "Marists and Melanesians : a history of Catholic missions in the Solomon Islands" (1976) and edited "Taem blong faet: World War II in Melanesia" (1988), "Ples blong iumi: Solomon Islands, the past four thousand years" (1989) and "Pacific protect: the Maasina Rule movement, Solomon Islands, 1944-1952" (ca. 1983).
