Biographical History
Arthur Robinson (1894-1972) was a journalist who began his career in 1914 as a sportswriter for the "New York American". He wrote a profile of Babe Ruth for "The New Yorker" in 1931 and was Ruth's ghost writer. He wrote the libretto for Morris Hutchins Ruger's "Gettysburg" which was performed at the Hollywood Bowl, 1938. His reporting covered world events including World War II and the Korean War as well as national politics and issues. He rounded off his career in Volcano, California, writing for newspapers in Sacramento and its environs.
