College for women in Madras, India. Founded in 1915, the college is sponsored jointly by several Protestant churches in Great Britain and the United States.
The Women's Christian College was founded in 1915 in Madras, India. In 1920 it became a sister college to Mount Holyoke. Many Mount Holyoke graduates have since gone on to teach there. The College specializes in nutrition, and advises other schools on diet for students with limited means. It also has advised the military on making healthy foods which will not spoil.
