Founded in 1901, the New York State Nurses Association is the oldest and largest state nurses association in the country with a membership of over 34,000 and represents approximately 30,000 registered nurses for collective bargaining purposes. The Association's records pertain to all facets of its complex and extensive corporate, administrative, programmatic, legislative and labor organization activities including its relationships with its district associations, the American Nurses' Association and other state nurses associations, several hundred.
(Cont) other health-related organizations and agencies both voluntary and governmental in nature and thousands of individual registered professional nurses.
