Biographical History
Bernice Brown McCullar was an educator, journalist, and author. She was born in Richland, Georgia, in 1905 and died in Decatur, Georgia, in 1975. In the 1940's she was editor of the Milledgeville Times and from 1951 until 1966 was Information Director for the Georgia State Department of Education. In the 1960's she was not only a freelance writer for the Atlanta journal and constitution, but also hosted an educational show entitled "This is your Georgia." Her books include Building your home life, This is your Georgia (textbook), and Georgia and its gold-domed capitol.
