From the description of Autograph letters signed (2) and typewritten letter signed : Boston and Cambridge, to Mr. F. A. Duneka of Harper & Brothers, 1908 Feb. 16-1910 Sept. 28. (Unknown). WorldCat record id: 270611528

Dr. George F. Reynolds (1877-1964), noted Shakespearean and Biblical scholar, was professor of English literature at the University of Colorado, Boulder. He served as head of the Department of Comparative and English Literature until his retirement in 1945. Reynolds helped to reestablish the University's Little Theatre and, at his urging, an outdoor amphitheatre was constructed for the annual summer Shakespeare festival. A gift from his estate provided the original funds for the George Reynolds Branch Library in Boulder. Reynold's works include: Some Principles of Elizabethan Staging (1905; 1970); The Facts and Backgrounds of Literature: English and American (1920); Writing of Papers on Advanced Work in Literature (1925); The Staging of Elizabethan Plays at the Red Bull Theater, 1605-1625 (1940); and On Shakespeare's Stage (1967).

William Dana Orcutt (1870-1953) wrote extensively on the art of bookmaking. His works include: In Quest of the Perfect Book: Reminiscences & Reflections of a Bookman (1926); Master Makers of the Book: Being a Consecutive Story of the Book from a Century before the Invention of Printing through the Era of the Doves Press (1928); and The Magic of the Book; more Reminiscences and Adventures of a Bookman (1930).

From the guide to the Correspondence from William Dana Orcutt and R. L. Scaife to George F. Reynolds (MS 137), December 1925, (University of Colorado at Boulder Libraries. Special Collections Dept.)
