Town Clerk of Melbourne, 1842-1851.
John Charles King (died aged 52 years), was Town Clerk for the City of Melbourne in 1846 and later became General Manager of the Argus newspaper.
Henry Moor was born in Greenwich, England, in 1809. He was the second Mayor of Melbourne. Preceded by Henry Condell, Moor served his first term from 1844 to 1845, and was succeeded by Sir James Frederick Palmer. Moor's second term followed from 1846 to 1847. he died in England in 1877.
William Nicholson was born 27 February 1816, died 10 March 1865. He was an Australian colonial politician, was the 3rd Premier of Victoria. He was known as the "father of the ballot", since he was responsible for the introduction of the secret ballot in Victoria.
