Biographical History
Robert Greene was active in the late 1940s in the formation of the Students for Democratic Action. He campaigned for G. Mennen Williams in his race for governorship of Michigan in 1948 and 1949. In the mid 1950s, Mr. Greene worked as an organizer for the Detroit and Cleveland Workmen's Circles, America's largest Jewish labor fraternal order. In 1959, Mr. Greene became the Central States Area director for the American Jewish Committee.
Member of Michigan Fair Employment Practices Commission during the gubernatorial administration of G. Mennen Williams, supporter of Democratic party campaigns and candidates in Michigan.
