Biographical History

Mark Weinbaum (1890-1973), newspaper editor, was born in Russia and travelled to the United States in 1913. He served on the staff of Russian language newspapers Russkoe Slovo, Russkii Golos, and Novoe Russkoe Slovo. From 1925 until his death he was editor in chief of Novoe Russkoe Slovo and was later president of the Literary Fund.
