Biographical History
Philip Law was leader of Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions, 1949-1966 and Director of the Antarctic Division, Department of External Affairs. Chairman of the Australian National Committee on Antarctic Research from 1966-1980.
Scientist and Antarctic explorer. Lecturer of physics, University of Melbourne (1943-48), leader of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE, 1949-66) and established Mawson, Davis and Casey stations. See "Who's who in Australia 1999", p. 1004.
