Eleanor Hershey is the widow of Samuel F. Hershey, who was an instructor of Design at Harvard University during the 1940s, an administrator at the Rhode Island School of Design during the 1950s and 1960s, and the Acting Chairman of the Department of Design in the College of Environmental Design at the University of California, Berkeley, during the 1970s.
