Biographical History

Born 1913 in Porterville, Calif., Nofziger studied at the University of California at Los Angeles, Columbia University, and the Art Students league in New York City. He illustrated for numerous magazines including The Saturday Evening Post, Collier's Magazine, and Esquire, and served as cartoonist for the U.S. Forest Service. He also wrote and illustrated children's books. Nofziger died in California on Oct. 15, 2000.
