Mark H. Rose is a professor of history at Florida Atlantic University. In 2006, he published "The best transportation system in the world: Railroads, trucks, airlines, and American public policy in the twentieth century" with the collaboration of Bruce E. Seely and Paul F. Barrett. This work is a study of changing American federal government policy towards the three transportation industries since the 1920s, with a focus on the reorganizations and deregulation that took place in the 1960s and 1970s.
