Biographical History

Governor, politician. Sir Arthur Stanley was Governor of Victoria, 1914-1920; he left Melbourne 30 July 1919. Stanley succeeded as fifth Baron Stanley of Alderley and fifthe Baron Sheffield of Roscommon in 1925.
