Biographical History
Clinton was a prominent labor lawyer in the 1950's and 1960's in Texas. He graduated from Baylor University Law School in 1949. He started practicing law in 1950 in Waco, Texas, then became a field attorney for the National Labor Relations Board. During the early 1950's he worked for the Mullinax & Wells law firm in Dallas and Austin until 1956 when he established a private law firm in Austin practicing general and labor law.
Sam Houston Clinton Jr. graduated from Baylor University Law School in 1949. He started practicing law in 1950 in Waco, Texas and remained in private practice in Waco for six months. He then took a position in Fort Worth as Field Attorney for the National Labor Relations Board. After about one year and three months with the NLRB, he went to work for Mullinax-Wells Law Firm in Dallas where he practiced labor law. Mr. Clinton stayed with Mullinax-Wells until November 1956, during which time he was transferred to Austin. On November 1, 1956 he opened an office in Austin and began private practice of both general and labor law.
