Biographical History
Harry Wilson was born in England. During World War I, he served in the Royal Army Medical Corps as a surgical orderly and later in the Flying Corps as a radial engineering specialist. He moved to Canada after the war and then to Michigan (1923) where he worked as a tool designer. He received his pilot's license in 1932. During World War II, he was involved in flight training programs at Western Michigan University, where he helped organize the Department of Aviation Mechanics. After the war, he promoted aviation training and participated in the organization of Lansing Community College. He also wrote poetry and a number of magazine articles. He died in Alaska.
