Biographical History

Homer T. Cox III was born in Alexandria, La., and finished high school in Homer, La. He joined the Army at age 19 and was accepted into the Special Forces. Cox was badly wounded in combat and spent about 14 months in hospitals in Vietnam, Japan, and the United States. He later volunteered to be a medical test subject at the Army's chemical warfare center at Edgewood Arsenal, Maryland.
