Biographical History
Effective July 1, 1958, John Ashton was named Vice President and Dean of the Graduate School. Directly prior to this appintment Ashton had been serving as the Vice President and Dean of Student and Educational Services.
At the June 5, 1959 Board of Trustees meeting, Ashton's title was changed to Vice President for Graduate Development and Dean of the Graduate School. Dean Ashton served in this position until 1965.
