Biographical History
Jack Keller began his employment at Utah State University as an assistant professor in the Agricultural and Irrigation Engineering Department in 1960. He became associate professor in 1967 after completing his Ph.D. at USU, and was appointed as full professor in 1973. In 1979 he became department head. His professional involvement extended from local irrigation projects to those with world-wide significance. In 1962 he founded Keller-Bliesner Engineering in Logan, Utah, and drew upon the expertise of colleagues within the department to engage in engineering consulting both locally and internationally. He was co-principal investigator for the USAID funded Water Management Synthesis Project, an international program of technology transfer for irrigation, which involved faculty at USU, Colorado State University, and Cornell University.
