Biographical History
Pharmacy in Concord, Mass., established on the Mill Dam in 1883 by Horatio Stillman Richardson, a pharmacist trained at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. Richardson eventually sold his business to John G. Watson, who had been his clerk. In 1944, Charles R. Voigt purchased the store from Watson. In 1953, Voigt entered into partnership with Arthur Carr. Over the years, the business expanded to include three branches (Medical Center, West Concord, and Lincoln) in addition to the Main Street store. Presently (1995) operated by Arthur Carr's son Robert as Richardson's West.
(Cont.) Concord Pharmacy, the main store and other branches having closed.
