Prince (A.B. 1776) was was the minister of the First Congregational Church in Salem, Mass.

John Prince (1751-1836), a minister in Salem, Mass., was born on July 22, 1751 in Boston. He received an AB from Harvard in 1776 and an AM in 1779. In 1795 he received an LL.D from Brown University. Prince was actively involved in the scientific community and was known for his designs of scientific apparatus. He began repairing apparatus for Harvard in the late 1770s, and sold and repaired scientific instruments for Harvard and other academic institutions. Prince was ordained as the minister of the Congregationalist First Church of Salem in 1779 and served there until his death on June 7, 1836.
