Galignani, Mr. (Giovanni Antonio), 1757-1821
Variant namesGiovanni Antonio Galignani, Italian-born bookseller and publisher. He settled in Paris, where he opened an English language bookshop and library, and launched Galignani's Messenger, a news magazine. His sons, John Anthony and William, took over the family business upon his death.
