Wick Miller was an anthropologist linguist and pioneer in language acquisition studies. He received an A.B. in Anthropology from the University of New Mexico in 1953 and a Ph. D. in Linguistics from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1963. He joined the University of Utah Dept. of Anthropology in 1963, and remained there until his death in 1994.
