Linn, Lewis Fields, 1795-1843
Variant namesLewis Fields Linn was a U.S. senator from Missouri, who served in Congress from 1833-1843. Linn was a vocal proponent of "Manifest Destiny. He was the author of the Oregon Bill of 1843, which provided extensive land grant provisions.
