Carl Porter Duncan was born December 27th, 1921. He received his Doctorate of Philosophy in Psychology from Brown University in1947. He also accepted a teaching position in the Department of Psychology from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois that year. Duncan was president of the Midwestern Psychological Association in 1966 and a past Fellow of the American Psychological Association's Society for the History of Psychology.
