Deisenhofer, Johann, 1943-
Variant namesJohann Deisenhofer was born in Bavaria in 1943. Educated at the Technical University of Munich, he pursued post-graduate studies at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry, Martinsried. In 1988 he relocated to the United States taking a position as Medical Researcher at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute of the Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.
