Homer Hoch was born in Marion, Kansas, July 4, 1879. He attended Baker University and Washburn Law school. After his law school graduation in 1909, he practiced law in Marion from 1909-1919. He was elected as a Republican to the sixty-sixth and to the six succeeding Congresses (March 4, 1919-March 3, 1933).
After serving in Congress Hoch served as a member and chairman for the State Corporation Commission of Kansas from 1933-1939. He was elected a member of the supreme court of Kansas in 1938 and served until his death in Topeka, Kan., January 30, 1949.
