Grasset d'Orcet, Claude-Sosthène, 1828-1900
Variant namesClaude-Sosthène Grasset d'Orcet was a French amateur archaeologist, philologist, and cryptologist. He had a sustained interest in Cypriot archaeology and participated in the earliest French excavations of Cyprus with Ernest Renan and Melchior de Vogüé (1861-1862).
