Beier, Ulli.
Variant namesEditor, writer and scholar, Ulli Beier was born in Germany. He had a pioneering role in developing drama, poetry and visual arts in Nigeria. From 1968 he worked in Papua New Guinea and co-organised with Georgian Beier the country's first art exhibition, established Kovave, a journal of New Guinea writing, and Gigibori, a journal focusing on New Guinea cultures.
