Nicholas Bryar Massenburg, planter of Franklin County, N.C., who owned Woodleaf and Egypt plantations. Massenburg married Lucy Henry Davis in December 1831 and they had nine children who lived to maturity, among them, Lucy Cargill Massenburg.
