Thomas Milton Tinney was born on August 10, 1941, in Ohio. He is a professional genealogist who has been featured in Marquis Who's Who in the West (1998 and 1999) and Who's Who in America (2000-2004). His research papers form part of the Joseph Smith, Jr. Collection at the University of Utah, and a collection of his papers is located at the Utah State Historical Society.
