Abbe, Truman, 1873-1955
Variant namesSon of meteorological pioneer Cleveland Abbe, Truman Abbe was a surgeon. He was educated at Harvard, earned his M.D. at Columbia University in 1899 and continued with post-graduate studies at the University of Berlin. He specialized in researching the therapeutic uses of radium.
