Founder and Chairman, World Peace Campaign, 1936. Married third wife, botanist and academic Thistle Harris (1902-1990), in 1951. Harris published a number of books on Australian flora and was a Councillor for the Australian Conservation Foundation and the Nature Conservation Council of New South Wales.
