Variant namesAfrican American educator; graduate of Tuskeegee Institute; and president of the Branch Normal College at Pine Bluff, Arkansas, from 1902 to 1911; following his departure from Arkansas he taught at both Fisk University and Hampton Institute; d. ca. 1957.
