Hide Profile

Alma Zsolnay was a granddaughter of Alma Mahler. Zsolnay was the daughter of Anna Mahler (1904-1988) and Anna's third husband, Paul Zsolnay (1895-1961). Anna and Paul married in 1929 and divorced in 1935; after the divorce, Alma lived with her father, and was also cared for by her grandmother on her father's side, Amanda ("Andy") Zsolnay. By 1961 Alma was apparently married and was going by the last name Germany-Zsolnay (as it appears on the family announcement upon the death of Paul Zsolnay).
